OCR & Text Recognition
How accurate is the OCR text recognition?

CaptureIQ uses Apple's Vision framework for OCR, which provides excellent accuracy for:

  • Printed text in clear fonts
  • Multiple languages
  • Various document types (receipts, letters, books, etc.)

For best OCR results:

  • Ensure good, even lighting
  • Avoid shadows on the document
  • Keep the camera steady
  • Use higher resolution scans for small text

Handwritten text recognition accuracy varies depending on handwriting legibility.

Which languages does OCR support?

CaptureIQ's OCR supports all languages recognized by Apple's Vision framework, including:

  • English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese
  • Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean
  • Russian, Arabic, Hebrew
  • And many more...

The app automatically detects the language in your document.

AI Extraction Features
